Christmas Corporate Branding

Friday 24th of September 2010
Autumn is here and businesses all over the UK are getting busy preparing their promotional merchandise plans ready for this Christmas. So are you?

The Promotional Products Association International have released a detailed report giving fantastic figures for anyone considering getting a plan in place ready for winter.

The study suggested that over 80% of people receiving promotional gifts actually like receiving them. With 80% of your existing or new customers ready to be pleased with you just for sending them a nice gift it's definately worth considering.

The current market and economy doesn't have to mean complete doom and gloom, but it is a fact that customers are more likely to lose loyalty or shop around. For the sake of a marketing campaign this December you are likely to see a boost to the first quarter of 2011, adn you're more likely to retain any customers who may be getting tempted by a competitor trying to snag them away from you.

The study also asked how many of the people receiving gifts kept them, and over 50% of those questioned admitted that they kept their gifts for well over year, and for as long as 5 years. What more could you ask for - your customer is being reminded of you and your brand and of course, your goodwill for upto 5 years with that one gift. If you provide them with something designed to be kept for a long time especially one with your logo and corporate message printed on you're guaranteed long  term exposure to over half of your customers that receive their Christmas gift.

There's no limit to what you could send as your promotional gift, how ever the important thing to consider is what it says about your business and your brand. If you want to target high profile clients you really need to be sending out luxury items and high quality gifts.

Don't forget to reward your customers this winter as well. With times being hard every business needs to go the extra mile to keep their staff moral high, and an unexpected Christmas gift to your staff will say more than words and will boost their spirits (and hopefully sales!) this Christmas.
